Gunshots now wake people up from bed and in thesame Gunshots Forced Them into Bed
This Monday 1st July 2019, Bamenda inhabitants receive a wakeup from bed alarm following gunshots that took over some major streets in the chief town of the North West Region of Cameroon. It is no longer news whenever gun shots are heard firing from any angle of the town as inhabitants have now been so use to the sound of gunshots that serve as a daily alarm of the presence of Gun men or Military officers. On every Ghost town like this one, the population stay indoors while most of the people one can find in the streets are either Amba Fighters or Cameroon Military Personnel patrolling the streets. There is bound to be clashes of gunshot exchange anytime the two accidentally meet. In most of these clashes civilians around battle grounds fall victim as they are the most affected.
Since the start of the Anglophone Crisis, Mondays have been noted to be the most deadliest days in the two English Speaking regions of Cameroon with high record of deaths majority being innocent civilians in most cases. This Monday Gun shots push Bamenda inhabitants to go to bed switching off lights, radio and television set or anything that can cause noise. We continue to hope for a return to peace in the North West and South West Cameroon.
