AZiCCUL Holds 56th AGM, Elects New President

Bamenda, June 14, 2024 - The Azire Cooperative Credit Union Limited (AZiCCUL) held its 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Esplanade of Ayaba Hotel in Bamenda. The event brought together members, dignitaries, and stakeholders to review the union's performance and elect new leaders.

In his remarks, the Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Mezam, Simon Emile Mooh, advised the newly elected President, Mme Ngang Mirabel Neh, to prioritize the protection of members' interests and ensure the union's continued growth. "Money does not like noise," he cautioned, urging the leadership to maintain stability and focus on the union's objectives.

Mme Ngang Mirabel Neh, the 11th President of AZiCCUL, promised to take the union "back to normal" and improve its performance. She highlighted key areas of focus, including enhancing security measures, creating new marketing strategies, and leveraging digital banking to improve services.

Outgoing President, Bar. Divine Nde Momuluh, congratulated the new leadership and emphasized the importance of teamwork and constructive debate within the boardroom. "We will not fight outside; we will resolve our differences within," he urged.
The AGM also featured reports from the Board of Directors, Supervisory Board, and Women's Committee. According to the reports, AZiCCUL registered 3,220 new members in 2024, bringing the total active membership to 62,478. The union has projected 4,106 new members in 2025 and a budget of 6.685 billion francs.

General Manager, Awah Anye W, highlighted the union's plans to go digital, enabling members to access their accounts online and perform daily savings through POS. He also mentioned the integration of new branches and potential expansion to serve members better.

The newly elected leadership includes Mme Ngang Mirabel Neh as President, Tumasang Solomon Came as Vice President, and Ndakwara Godwill Dara as Supervisory Chair. The Women's Committee Chairlady was re-elected.
As AZiCCUL embarks on a new chapter, members and stakeholders are optimistic about the union's future growth and development. With a renewed leadership and focus on digitalization, AZiCCUL is poised to take its services to the next level.
