Hon. Njingum Musa Mbutoh, Member of Parliament for Ngoketunjia North and Quæstor of the National Assembly, is representing Cameroon at the 4th Marrakech Parliamentary Economic Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Region taking place from June 19 to 20, 2026.

The forum has brought together parliamentarians, economic policymakers, financial institutions, and development partners from across Africa, Europe, and the Gulf region to discuss some of the major economic issues facing countries today.

Held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, the gathering is organized by Morocco's House of Councillors and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean in partnership with the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Central to the discussions are trade reforms, regional economic cooperation, investment opportunities, infrastructure financing, and the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

For Cameroon, Hon. Njingum Musa's presence at the forum offers an opportunity to engage with lawmakers and economic stakeholders from different regions while contributing to discussions on policies that affect developing economies.

The meeting also provides a platform for strengthening partnerships and exchanging experiences on strategies aimed at boosting economic growth and improving resilience in an increasingly interconnected global economy.

As discussions continue in Marrakech, Cameroon joins other nations in examining practical approaches to development challenges and opportunities for greater economic cooperation.

Hon. Njingum Musa's participation reflects the country's continued involvement in international dialogue on economic development and regional integration.
