Muslim faithful in Ndop received strong messages of peace, unity and responsible living on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, following Baladesala prayers held at the Ndop Municipal ceremonial ground.
The gathering brought together religious leaders, administrative authorities and community members, all calling on the population, especially young people, to promote peaceful coexistence and contribute positively to the development of Ngoketunjia Division.
Leading the prayers, Imam Modibou Sidou urged Muslims to uphold the values of peace, tolerance and brotherhood, reminding the faithful that Islam teaches unity and respect for one another regardless of differences.
Speaking on behalf of the Senior Divisional Officer for Ngoketunjia, Egbe Takor Elvis encouraged the Muslim community to remain law-abiding and continue supporting efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the division.
During a town hall exchange with Muslim youths, the Questor at the National Assembly and Member of Parliament for Ngoketunjia North Constituency, Hon. Njingum Musa, called on young people to become ambassadors of peace within their communities.
He warned against drug abuse, alcoholism and other harmful behaviours capable of destroying the future of the youth, while encouraging them to focus on education, skill acquisition and business opportunities.
Hon. Njingum Musa also praised women for the role they continue to play in supporting their families and encouraging children in their education, especially ahead of the upcoming GCE examinations.
The different messages delivered during the gathering were warmly welcomed by participants, with many youths expressing commitment to promoting peace, unity and responsible living within the community.
