Cameroon: MOUNT CAMEROON RACE OF HOPE SET FOR 27TH FEBRUARY 2021

A competition that was first organized in 1972 by Guinness Cameroon has its 26th edition come Saturday 27th February 2021 with over 500 athletes from 10 Countries participating in junior, senior and veteran categories.
 This year edition that will take place within the context of COVID-19 will see certain measures like the different departure points for the various categories have been programed by the organizng committee to curb the risk of the disease. 

   This year's race of hope goes by the theme : "Peace, an ingredient for Nation building".

Bamenda Celebrates World Environment Day 2025: "Beating Plastic Pollution"

By Wirngo Peter Tardzenyuy, Bamenda-Cameroon June 4, 2025 - Bamenda, Cameroon - The Alliance Francaise in Bamenda  buzzed with excitement as stakeholders in environmental protection gathered to showcase activities in commemoration of the World Environment Day 2025 celebrated every June 5th. The event, themed "Beating Plastic Pollution," same years theme brought together civil society leaders, government officials, and youths to raise awareness and find solutions to the pressing issue of plastic pollution in Bamenda and the North West Region at large. The Chief of Service at the North West Regional Delegation of Environmental Protection, Dr. Agbor Ebai Maurice, highlighted the severity of plastic pollution in Bamenda.
