Bamenda II Mayor Chenwi Peter visit the DDR Center

Today 10 November 2020 Mayor Chenwi Peter Lord Mayor of the Bamenda II Sub divisional Council along Side Bamenda II DO pay A visit Disarmament Demobilization and Re-integration Center Bamenda Making Donations of Food and non-food items like maize, beans, rice, hygienic items like pads for ladies and toilet tissues and the 200,000frs cash. Ex combatants show worries about the fact that they have been accepted by the center but it will be difficult to go out into society as they doubt if the population is ready to forgive them.

A one day workshop at the Regional Head office  of CHRDA in Bamenda on 29th February 2020, saw the attendance of over 100 civil society representatives all over the North West Regions of Cameroon. The North West Region being one of the regions of Cameroon plague with crisis that records human rights violations at all level prompted a need for such training. The trainees were drilled on Monitoring, documenting and reporting human rights violations in the country.
