North West: The City Mayor and The Administrative Authorities Banned The Circulation of Personnel, service and Commercial Motorbikes Within Bamenda I,II and III.


Following the killing of a police officer on 1st September 2020 by allege Separatist Fighters and the military retaliation stooping activities of the inhabitants city since the said date, The Lord Mayor Of The Bamenda City Council Achobong Paul together with the SDO of Mezam signed a communique restriction the circulation of bikes within the City Of Bamenda after holding Meetings with the The Bamenda Reform Bike Riders Union leaders and and those of the Drivers Union. This according to the city mayor is a measure to keep the population of Bamenda who has been victim in case of these actions and more that many have lost properties, businesses, love ones and even the freedom to live. Few hours afterMayor Achobong Paul signed a release restricting motorbike circulation in Bamenda, the Governor of the North West region, Adolphe Lele L'afrique has sealed the ban.

In the press release shortlisting some key areas prohibiting bikes from plying within Bamenda I, II and III Subdivisions, Governor Lele said the circulation of personal, service and commercial motorbikes have been banned
