Hundreds of Internally Displaced Anglophone Cameroonians Benefit from Government Emergency Humanitarian Assistance in Bamenda Mezam Division

Humanitarian Assistance to Hundreds of Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in and around Bamenda I, II and III Subdivisions in Mezam North West Region Cameroon. The chief town of the North West Region is the town hosting highest number of Persons displaced as a result of the ongoing Anglophone Crisis rocking the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon formally known as British Southern Cameroons  as before 1961 when this part of the country united with the eastern part which was formally a French colony after the Second world war that led to the partition of the German Colony Called Kamerun(Western and eastern Cameroon also the present Cameroon). The crisis which resulted from marginalisation had escalated to the point many fled their homes because of continues gun battle between arm separatist clamouring for independence and the Cameroon military in clash to crackdown the armed separatist. With many the rendered homeless because their homes, businesses, schools and other properties have been reduce to ash level. Many of these find their way in Bamenda which if safer though not war free as constant gun battle is also witness here. According to the Coordinator for Emergency Humanitarian Assistance Plan Centre (EHAP), about 300 IDPs have benefited from the two Donation by the center though the actual number of IDPs in this area multiples this figure, The Coordinator Of the Centre Nehofon Mingoh says the center targets a hundred of IDPs in each Subdivision but will add the number in subsequent donations. IDPs received 1bag of rice, 5cubes of savon, 3litres of groundnut oil, a bucket, a metres and a pair of Blanket each. The Government administrators in the region calls on more IDPs to go and register under their subdivisions to benefit from the aid.
